The first zero-emissions hotel in Milan!

Hotel Milano Scala is the only hotel in Milan, and one of the few in Italy, to use the heat-exchanger system to produce energy and therefore does not contribute to city pollution.
The hotel also makes use of providers drawing energy exclusively from clean and renewable sources. This combination allows the production of energy with “zero emissions”, i.e. there are no emissions either on a local level (as there is no boiler, not even for sanitary water) or on a global level (as the purchased energy comes from clean sources).

This project is very innovating as the hotel is located in a 19th-century mansion in the city historical centre, where energy cannot be generated either by the wind or by the sun.
In a period when environmental issues and climate changes represent urgent priorities, this hotel gives a significant message; the project of “zero-emissions hospitality” underlines that also the hotel industry can use technologies able to reduce atmosphere pollution dramatically, fully respecting the ecosystem and in accordance with the aim of stopping climate changes.
